A new Erasmus+ funded partnership has officially launched to help adult learners and educators across Romania, Serbia, and Cyprus close the gap between technical and soft skills. The 18 month EARTHE project will develop free digital resources, including a mobile self assessment tool and a curriculum toolkit, available in four languages. Coordinated by organizations from all three countries, the initiative specifically aims to reach adults from disadvantaged backgrounds. We are thrilled to share the very first newsletter of the EARTHE project. This initiative focuses on lifelong learning, upskilling, and digital resilience for adult learners and educators across Romania, Serbia, and Cyprus. The consortium is currently developing a practical digital toolkit covering six core soft skills modules to help jobseekers, migrants, and rural residents build confidence for modern labor markets. Our third newsletter explores how the EARTHE project measures and develops essential soft skills. Following a needs analysis revealing that seven in ten employees struggle to adapt to their work environments, our partnership built a dedicated digital assessment tool. This platform combines personal ratings across ten areas with real life scenarios to place users into one of four skill profiles. These insights connect directly to our six methodological modules for adult educators. The assessment tool is now entering its testing and peer review phase. Launching Project EARTHE – Empowering Adults for the Future of Work! We are thrilled to officially announce the kickoff of our latest Erasmus+ adventure: Project EARTHE (Lifelong Learning for Empowerment: Upskilling and Reskilling Pathways). In a world where technology and the job market are changing faster than ever, we realized that “technical skills” are only half the battle. To truly thrive, we need to master the human side of work—our soft skills and digital resilience.   What is EARTHE all about? The mission of EARTHE is simple but powerful: we want to help adults overcome the “skills mismatch” that often leads to feeling stuck or unsatisfied at work. By providing innovative, media-rich learning resources, we’re helping people build the confidence and adaptability they need for a long, happy career.   Who is on this journey? This isn’t a solo mission! We’ve built a fantastic transnational partnership to bring the best expertise to the table: Asociatia Centru pentru Inovare si Performanta (Romania) – Leading the way as our project coordinators. Western Balkans Institute (Serbia) – Experts in regional development and inclusive education. WECHANGE Research and Outreach (Cyprus) – Specialists in impactful communication and digital content. What’s coming up? Over the next 18 months, we’ll be working hard to create: A Digital Toolkit for Coaches: Helping adult educators use the latest methodologies to support their students. A Self-Assessment App: A quick, easy way for anyone to check their soft skills and digital readiness. Real-Life Scenario Workshops: Practical, “Theory U” based training for adult learners to practice leadership, communication, and stress management in a digital world. Why does this matter?
